　今年度、松戸教会が心に刻みたいみことばは、「一つの体一つの心となりますように」（ミサ第二奉献文より）です。パウロは、教会を「キリストの体」（Ⅰコリント12章）にたとえます。体は一つでありながら、多くの部分から成り立ち、それぞれが異なる働きを担い、互いに必要とし合っています。もし一つでも欠ければ、体は本来の力を十分に発揮できません。わたしたちは、まさにこの「一つの体」として主によって招かれているのです。この目標を、今年は特に「教会の建替え」という二つの意味で具体化していきたいと思います。ここで言う「建替え」は、単に古いものを新しくするという以上に、主が望まれる姿へと、わたしたちが整えられていく歩みです。

　第一は、目に見える教会、すなわち「ともに集う神の家」である聖堂についてです。聖堂は、わたしたちがみことばを聴き、感謝の祭儀をささげ、祈りを共にする場所です。そこは単なる建物ではなく、「一つの体」として集められる場、主がわたしたちを結び合わせてくださる場です。

　今年、具体的な「建替え計画の作成」に取り組んでいきます。これは大きなテーマであり、時間も労力も知恵も必要とします。しかし同時に、教会全体が心を合わせ、祈りつつ進むべき共同の歩みです。誰か一部の人だけの課題ではなく、体の各部分がそれぞれの賜物を生かして関わるとき、道は開けていきます。

　第二は、目に見えない、しかし本質的な意味での教会、教会共同体そのものの「建替え」です。建物が新しくなるだけで、心が離れたままであれば、教会は真に生き生きとはしません。逆に、共同体が主に結ばれ、互いに支え合う体となっていくなら、たとえ制約があっても教会は力強く歩めます。

　そこで今年は、共同体づくりのために、組織の洗練と刷新にも取り組みます。役割分担や連携のあり方、情報共有、奉仕の入り口、必要な支えの届け方などを見直し、整え、よりしなやかで、誰もが参加しやすい共同体の形を育てていきたいのです。これは「効率化」のためだけではありません。「一つの体」として、弱い部分が置き去りにされず、賜物が埋もれず、喜びも痛みも共に担える教会、ともに歩む「シノドス流の教会」となるためです。パウロは言います。「一つの部分が苦しめば、すべての部分が共に苦しみ、一つの部分が尊ばれれば、すべての部分が共に喜ぶ」。このことばは、今年の二つの建替えを貫く中心です。聖堂の将来を考えるときも、組織を整えるときも、目的はただ一つ「わたしたちがキリストに結ばれ、互いに結ばれて生きる」ことです。

　どうか皆さん、それぞれの立場で、この歩みに参加してください。祈りで支える方、知恵や経験を分かち合う方、手を動かして奉仕する方、声をかけて人をつなぐ方。どの働きも欠かせません。主は「一つの体」を、ご自身の霊によって造り上げてくださいます。そしてわたしたちは、その御業に協力するよう招かれています。わたしたち松戸教会が「一つの体」として、目に見える家を整え、目に見えない共同体をより深く育てる一年となりますように。主がわたしたちの歩みを導き、希望と一致の恵みで満たしてくださいますように。

The Scripture verse that Matsudo Church wishes to engrave upon our hearts this year is: “May we become one body and one spirit” (from the Second Eucharistic Prayer). Saint Paul compares the Church to “the Body of Christ” (1 Corinthians 12). Though the body is one, it is made up of many parts, each with its own role, each indispensable to the others. If even one part is missing, the body cannot fully manifest its proper strength. We, too, are called by the Lord to be precisely this “one body.”

This year, we hope to give concrete expression to this goal in two ways, both connected to the “rebuilding of the church.” By “rebuilding,” we mean not merely replacing the old with the new, but rather allowing ourselves to be shaped into the form the Lord desires.

1. The Visible Church: the Church Building, the House of God Where We Gather

The church building is the place where we listen to the Word of God, offer the Eucharistic sacrifice, and pray together. It is not simply a structure, but the place where we are gathered as “one body,” where the Lord unites us to one another.

This year, we will begin working on the concrete task of drafting a rebuilding plan. This is a major undertaking, requiring time, effort, and wisdom. Yet it is also a shared journey that the whole parish must walk together in prayer. It is not the responsibility of only a few; the path opens when each part of the body contributes its own gifts.

2. The Invisible Yet Essential Church: the Rebuilding of the Community Itself

Even if the building becomes new, the Church cannot truly be alive if our hearts remain distant from one another. Conversely, if the community is united in the Lord and becomes a body that supports one another, then even with limitations, the Church can walk forward with strength.

For this reason, we will also work this year on refining and renewing our parish structures for the sake of community building. We hope to review and improve how roles are shared, how we collaborate, how information is communicated, how people can enter into service, and how needed support can be delivered. Our aim is to cultivate a more flexible, welcoming community in which everyone can participate. This is not merely for the sake of “efficiency.” It is so that, as “one body,” no weaker part is left behind, no gift is buried, and joys and sorrows can be carried together—a Church that walks in the spirit of synodality.

Saint Paul says, “If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” This word is the heart of both forms of rebuilding we undertake this year. Whether we consider the future of the church building or the shaping of our parish organization, our purpose remains one: that we may live united with Christ and united with one another.

I ask each of you to take part in this journey in your own way—those who support us in prayer, those who share their wisdom and experience, those who serve with their hands, and those who connect people through words and encouragement. Every contribution is essential. The Lord Himself builds up “one body” through His Spirit, and He invites us to cooperate in His work.

May this year be one in which Matsudo Church, as “one body,” prepares its visible home and deepens its invisible community. May the Lord guide our steps and fill us with the grace of hope and unity.
