2025-12 髙瀬神父メッセージ Message from Fr. Takase

新しい歩みに向かって

早いもので、もう2025年も終わりに近づいています。今年を振り返ってみると恵みの多い特別な聖年となりました。長い間多くの人に愛されてきた教皇フランシスコが神様の御許に旅立ち、突然の別れとなりました。そして、その祈りと使命を引き継いだ新しい教皇レオ14世とともに新たな教会の歩みが始まりました。

　松戸教会においても、黙想会、記念ミサ、コンサート、バザーなど各行事、グッズやステンドグラス作りなど、子どもからお年寄りまで皆ができることをそれぞれ持ち寄って、愛し合い、支え合い、捧げ合って豊かな実りの多い一年になりました。この一年をともに歩めたことを神様と皆さんに深く感謝致します。そして、新しく迎える76年目のこの一年を、さらに素晴らしいものとし、神の国とまことの平和へと向かう挑戦の一歩と致しましょう！

　勇気を持って新しい一歩を、より前へ踏み出すために、この待降節を私たちの心を照らし、清め、愛と平和へと向かい、悔い改めと祈りを通して主をお迎えするために、心を準備することが大切です。待降節とは、そのために神がくださった神の愛とあわれみを味わい、準備する季節です。

　聖アウグスティヌスは、次のような言葉を残しています。

「主は、あなたのうちに来たいと望んでおられます。しかし、主が入る家を整えなさい。謙遜と愛で満たしなさい。そうすれば、主はあなたの心に喜びをもっておいでになります。」

　主は私たちが望んでいるよりもはるかに強く、また、１日でも早く、私たちのところに来たいと願っています。神の救いが始まる時を待ち望んでいます。主をお迎えするにあたり、わたしたちの準備はいかがでしょうか？　新しい一歩を踏み出す準備はいかがでしょうか？　黙想会、ゆるしの秘跡にあずかり、みことばに耳を傾け、祈りの時間を持ち、喜びのうちに主を待ち望みましょう。

Toward a New Journey

Time flies - Year 2025 is already drawing to a close. As we look back on this year, we experienced truly special Holy Year, filled with abundant grace. We also experienced a sudden and heartfelt farewell as Pope Francis—beloved by so many for so long—returned to the house of God. And with our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, who has taken up Pope Francis` prayer and mission, a new journey for the Church has begun.

Here at Matsudo Church as well, through retreats, memorial Masses, concerts, bazaars, and various activities—from handmade goods to stained-glass crafting—each person, from children to the elderly, offered their gifts. By loving, supporting, and giving to one another, we have shared a year rich in blessings and fruitfulness. I offer my deep gratitude to God and to all of you for walking this journey together. As we welcome the 76th year of our community, let us make it an even more wonderful one, taking a bold step toward the Kingdom of God and true peace.

To take this new step forward with courage, it is essential during this Advent season to prepare our hearts—to let them be illuminated and purified, to turn toward love and peace, and to welcome the Lord through repentance and prayer. Advent is the season God has given us to savor His love and mercy, and to ready ourselves for His coming.

Saint Augustine left us these words:
“The Lord desires to come to you. But prepare the house into which He may enter. Fill it with humility and love, and He will come to you with joy.”

The Lord longs to come to us far more deeply—and far sooner—than we can imagine. We await the moment when God’s saving work begins anew. As we prepare to welcome the Lord, how ready are our hearts? How ready are we to take a new step forward? Let us join the retreat, receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, listen attentively to the Word of God, spend time in prayer, and await the Lord with joy.
