On March 17, 2018, a one day bus tour to Mt. Fuji was organized by the Matsudo MCCIC.

The bus left at 7:35 am from Matsudo Station and arrived at Arakurayama Sengen Park at around 11:00 am. We all walked up to the 400 steps hill to see the 5-storey pagoda and to have a glimpse of Mt Fuji. Unfortunately, Mt Fuji was covered by thick clouds. We spent about 30 minutes near the pagoda chatting and taking some photos while waiting but it didn’t come out.

At around 12:15, we started walking down the stairs and took the bus to Heidi Village to have lunch.

Everybody enjoyed the mixture of Swiss and Yamanashi lunch buffet.

We also went to the Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, dedicated to the textile artist Itchiku Kubota. It has a small garden and the gate and building are fascinating. Exhibited were the artist’s kimono silk dyeing art creations depicting the beauty of nature, cosmos and seasons.

After the museum, we could clearly see Mt. Fuji that we went straight to Kawaguchiko to have better views of it.
Everybody took photos and we had another group photo as a souvenir.

We then went to the hot spring to relax a bit and went back to Matsudo station at around 8:00 pm. There were 42 adults and only one child who joined the said one day bus tour. There were guests coming from Ichikawa, Toyoshiki and Akabane churches. Everybody seemed to have a great relaxing and bonding time.
