Today, the Tagalog mass was celebrated at 1:00 pm, two hours earlier than the usual at 3:00 pm every 4th Sunday of the month.
The celebrant of the said mass was our very own Parish Priest, Fr. Philip Ilio Bonifacio, SSC. It was a delight to see that the church was filled with people up to the lobby. There were familiar faces and new faces. December is indeed the best time of the year where old friends meet.

The mass was finished at around 2:15pm and the Christmas party started around 2:30 pm.
It kicked off with a welcome address given by Fr. Philip who is also the spiritual adviser of the MCCIC after which blessing of the food followed.
There were a lot of Filipino favorite dishes which were served and enjoyed by the many like kaldereta, bihon, menudo, bopis, dinuguan, Bicol express, fired chicken, baked spaghetti, biko, Christmas cake, and many other to mention.

While people were getting their food or eating, the MCCIC choir together with some Toyoshiki parishioners rendered some beautiful Christmas carols.
The spirit of Christmas was really in the air.

Children and adults had a fun time during the games.
We had stop dance for children and adults, Christmas ball relay for children, newspaper dance for adults and bring me something.
The MCCIC also prepared a special dance in the tune of “ Dahil Sa ‘Yo”, performed by 3 ladies and 4 gentlemen, all in their Santa’s suit or costume. The lively dance made the crowd more entertained and joyful.

In between the activities, drawing of raffle tickets was also simultaneously done. There were 35 consolation prizes of different items and 3 major prizes of 50,000 yen for grand prize, 30,000 yen for the 1st prize and 20,000 yen for the 2nd prize. We thank the 3 communities from Toyoshiki, Ichikawa and Koiwa who had helped us in selling our 300 yen raffle tickets. Also we would like to thank our sponsors, Seven Bank and Yutaka Company, Ltd and other individuals who gave some financial donation or in kind. Thus, we would like to commend the Matsudo officers and members who had really worked hard from planning, food preparation/cooking, selling of raffle tickets, and restoration. Thank you for all your continued support.

Of course Santa Claus came to children!!

A portion of the raffle proceeds goes to our beneficiary, the CFC Gawad Kalinga Cornerstone South Sector’s educational program.
It was indeed a rewarding and a successful event. To God be the glory. The party ended at around 4:30 pm.
