Today, the Tagalog mass was celebrated at 2:00 pm, two hours earlier than the usual at 3:00 pm every 4th Sunday of the month.
The celebrant of the said mass was our very own Parish Priest, Fr. Philip Ilio Bonifacio, SSC. It was a delight to see that the church was filled with people up to the lobby. There were familiar faces and new faces. December is indeed the best time of the year where old friends meet.

In Holy mass, Santa Claus presented it to children who participated in holy mass.Children were pleased with an appearance of Santa very much.

The mass was finished at around 3:15pm and the Christmas party started around 3:30 pm.
It kicked off with a welcome address given by Fr. Philip who is also the spiritual adviser of the MCCIC after which blessing of the food followed.
There were a lot of Filipino favorite dishes which were served and enjoyed by the many like kaldereta, bihon, menudo, bopis, dinuguan, Bicol express, fired chicken, baked spaghetti, biko, Christmas cake, and many other to mention.

Children and adults had a fun time during the games.

It was indeed a rewarding and a successful event. To God be the glory. The party ended at around 5:00 pm.

After party,MCCIC Staff member appreciated each other.

On December 1, 2018, Saturday, The Matsudo MCCIC had their “Advent Recollection” as part of their preparation for the advent season.

We have been doing this for few years now with different priests or lay missionaries but this time, we had it with Sr. Flor Florece of Hija de Jesus congregation who is also a dear friend of our Parish Priest, Fr. Philip Ilio Bonifacio, SSC. It was our first time to have a recollection facilitated by a sister and it was a very touching and enriching one.

The recollection started with a song prayer- Waiting for you, lectures followed and a little sharing. Just before lunch, the participants were invited to the church to talk, speak or have a dialogue with the Lord with the guided instructions by Sr. Flor. Everybody was touched and had poured some tears during this time of the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
It was indeed a great way of having a solemn time with the Lord where we can reflect what’s going on with our life and raising our concerns, too.

Lectures and sharing continued after lunch.

The recollection was concluded with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist by Fr. Philip.

The recollection was attended by 20 people coming from Ichikawa, Toyoshiki and Narashino communities. Everybody went home spiritually energized and blessed.
We are so much grateful of having Sr. Flor and hoping to have more recollections or retreats with her next year.
